Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel is a Tennessee Whiskey from the oldest licensed distillery in America. Single Barrel is made using the same meticulous and time-honoured techniques employed in producing the globally acclaimed Jack Daniel’s Whiskey range.Like the other members of the Jack Daniel’s Family, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey is charcoal-mellowed drop by drop and housed in charred American white oak barrels to reach maturity.
Single Barrel deviates from the norm as it is laid to rest in a specific area of the barrelhouse that is subject to great fluctuations in seasonal temperatures. In the summer heat, the pores of the oak barrels open up, allowing the whiskey to interact with the wood. Conversely, winter chills contract the barrel, forcing the whiskey out of the grain. Moving in and out of the wood, the whiskey obtains its amber hue and subtle flavours from the barrel’s interior.
“Oakier than a typical Jack Daniel’s, noticeably rounder with lemon and maple syrup. An interesting interplay of Jack Daniel’s house character and a more luxurious oakiness.”- Michael Jackson, Whisky Magazine Online.
