Peanuts in shell, also known as Monkey Nuts aren’t just enjoyed by primates, but also parrots, squirrels and pigs. Peanuts in shell usually come in two different types, Red Skin or Pale Skin. Red Skins are a smaller, brighter coloured nut compared to the alternative Pale Skins which are a light tan colour and larger in size. Both are used in much the same way and their taste and texture are very similar. Peanuts in shell are a versatile, and relatively cheap nutritious snack food which comes in its own protective outer shell, easy to open whilst out and about (No nut crackers required). This product can be roasted in shell using a conventional oven to enhance flavour.
